In part 1 of this story (The Awakening of Earnesto) we left Sophia in anticipation of receiving news of Earnesto after he left her house fleeing for his life. Finally after one year, Sophia receives a letter in which Earnesto describes his enlightenment regarding knowledge, truth and belief, and we find out about his death at the hands of the Juggler.
